Hi, my name is Kevin. I am 42 years old, and I am the founder of Founded on Forgiveness. I was shot in an attempted murder when I was fourteen by my mentally disturbed neighbor. This resulted in me being a quadriplegic for the rest of my life. In my despair, I lost myself in addiction. In recovery I was able to reconnect with God and myself. Through prayer, support and waves of emotional growth I've found forgiveness for the man who shot me. And possibly even more important I have been through the process of healing within myself. My hope is to aid other victims through this process of healing within themselves and forgiveness for those who hurt them.
We believe in the redeeming power of forgiveness! We want to provide resources and a support for victims of violent crimes who are struggling with addiction and mental heath to find peace and hope. We want to offer a safe place for those that want to heal through the process of recovery, healing and forgiveness
We would like to support any need you may have through financial hardship. Whether it be for school, a computer, or even a utility bill. Through fundraising and donations. We would like to try and provide that piece of solace for you.
"Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced" - James Baldwin
I can do all things through Him who gives me strength - Philippians 4:13
Nothing in my life is more important than my faith.
"My faith didn't remove the pain, but it got me through the pain. Trusting God didn't diminish or vanquish the anguish, but it enabled me to endure it." - Robert Rodgers
Kevin felt truly blessed with an amazing family. "I would be lost without their love and support. They are my rock and foundation."
Falling into the depths of addiction due to despair, trauma, and overwhelm. Many have gone down this path and lost their way. We found recovery. You can reconnect with a loving higher power and start fighting to live again!
We believe that Forgiveness is a foundational and everlasting aspect in our relationship with Jesus. To know Forgiveness is to know Jesus.
